What 99% of Job Candidates Forget During Their Job Search Process

Almost all the people who call me are suffering from one main problem.  They are stuck in the “me me me” perspective of job search.  You see most of us are so focused on landing a job that we lose our perspective along the way.  An employer really isn’t  interested in all your great “features” – innovative, experienced, dedicated, team player etc.  They are only interested in the benefits they receive.  Can you save them money or make them money? That’s what they are interested in hearing about – how you can solve problems with your expertise.  The key to generating more job leads, more job interviews, more job offers is focusing on:

  • BENEFITS not features
  • RESULTS not process
  • STORIES not concepts.

Tell people what their organization will get, not what you’ll do.
